Today, 1 increasing number of people are always 2 their mobile phones with their heads down. These people are called the “Heads-down Tribe”. Are you a heads-down tribe member? Heads-down tribe members now 3 everywhere.
More and more traffic accidents are happening because more drivers use mobile phones when they are driving. In order to make drivers pay more attention to 4 , some new traffic rules have 5 . For example, people who use mobile phones while driving in Taiwan are fined . Car drivers and motorcyclists 6 break the traffic rule will be fined NT$3,000 and NT$1,000 respectively.
As we can see above, using mobile phones may cause accidents and even 7 money. 8 , more and more interesting and strange facts happen to the “Heads-down Tribe”. According to a piece of interesting TV news, a man in America kept using his mobile phone 9 his way home. Suddenly, he bumped into a big lost bear. When he lifted his eyes from the phone, he was 10 afraid that he ran away as 11 as possible. Another fact is that we can often see people in the restaurant eating face to face but looking at 12 own mobile phones. It’s strange that they don’t talk to the ones who sit opposite to them during the meal. Some of them even have fun communicating with 13 on the phone all the time.
Mobile phones are helpful and necessary tools for modern life. Are mobile phones good or bad? It depends on 14 people use them. Let’s be “healthy” users and 15 not to be the “ Heads-up Tribe”.

These days, more and more students in the UK are taking a “gap year”between their graduation from school and their university studies. This means they can take a year off to do something else, before they start their studies.
For most students, spending time in foreign countries is the favorite activity --- and Australia is the favorite place to go.
Many parents, teachers and business people agree that travelling can teach important values.
“After a year of travelling, I felt I’d grown up. I had learnt the importance of relationships with people, on all kinds of levels.”
There are many companies around the world that welcome these students on their projects---helping people in poorer countries, or even in your home country. Although you don’t get paid for your work, this kind of work can teach important skills---decision making and finding answers to problems, for example---that will help many students in a job one day.
Finally, getting some knowledge and experience in an area you hope to study or work in one day will always be very useful.
If several university graduates are applying for the same job, gar year work experience allows you to say,

The first time I ever really noticed a disabled person， I was studying in the third grade. I saw some disabled people before， but I never really knew or cared about what those persons go through.
When a new student arrived in my third grade class， I thought it would just be a common student， but this student was different. His name was Derek and he had autism . He sometimes had random outbursts(随意发作) during class and we would stand there， doing nothing because we didn't know why he was doing that. When he sat down at desk， we would try to get away from him. After class， we would play jokes on each other， imitating(模仿) Derek， and laughing about it.
Then one day，Derek's mom came to our class and talked with us. She told us that Derek wasn't just having random outbursts--he was trying to communicate. Then she chose a volunteer and filled that person's mouth with soft sweets. When we found the volunteer had great trouble in trying to speak， the mother explained that was what Derek was going through every day. We all understood her meaning.
After this talk，no one tried to make fun of Derek or run away from him. We accepted his outbursts in class and he became one of our friends. Having a class with Derek has taught me to have an open mind to those who are different from us. My experience in having an autistic classmate has provided me with a good lesson.
Now whenever I meet a family with a child who's behaving differently，I always remember what I have learned in my third grade clams and go up to him or her.

You know how much your telephone has changed over the past 10 years? Your car will change even more than that in the next 10 years. One of the biggest changes is that cars will drive themselves.
“We certainly have the technology for it now.”says Andrew Poliak of automotive（机动车辆的）technology supplier QNX.“We expect self-driving cars to be a mainstream thing between 2020 and 2025.”
The American company Google has been working on self-driving cars for years. These cars are already on the roads in the United States and are truly self-driving. They have to steering wheels（方向盘）or pedals（踏板）. Last week, the police ordered one of Google's cars to stop for driving too slowly on a public road. The car was not breaking any law, so no one was punished.
Another American company, Tesla, added an “Autopilot” feature to its cars last month. With the Autopilot turned on, the vehicle drives itself. The car will speed up, slow down, brake and drive by itself. You can take over driving any time by turning the steering wheel or touching a pedal. The car uses sensors to know when driveway changing is safe and whether it should speed up or slow down.
Tesla Autopilot is made for cross-country driving. It keeps you in the driveway and helps you avoid hitting other cars. It does not work well on local roads, for it will not stop at a red light or stop sign.
Reporter Carolyn Nicander Mohr tried the Autopilot feature of a Tesla earlier this month. She had a hard time trusting the car to do what it should do. She thought about disabling the Autopilot feature many times during her trip. She wanted to take control at every bend in the road and hit the brake when the car in front of her slowed down. Yet the car drove perfectly.
Other companies are working on self-driving cars, too. Marcedes-Benz, Audi, BMW.Volvo and Toyota all have plans for such vehicles.

A. It is too difficult for people to make self-driving cars now.
B. Self-driving cars will be first put on the market in 2020.
C. There will be more self-driving cars in use in the future.
D. Nobody loves to use self-driving cars at the moment.
( )37．Why did the police stop the Google car?
A. It had no driver. B. It went to slowly.
C. It broke the traffic rules D. It had no steering wheel.
( )38．The underlined word “brake” probably means ______.
A. 加油门 B.刹车 C. 前进 D.后退
( )39．According to the text, Tesla Autopilot ________.
A. is truly self-driving B. can sense traffic lights
C. won't work on freeways D. isn't safe in crowded areas

Box-office monster “Zootopia” has been called the “most Easter egg-packed(彩蛋) movie ever made by Disney”. One of its Easter eggs comes to the species of the news anchor seen on the film’s ZNN channel. Depending on where in the world you’re watching “Zootopia”, the type of animals hosting may change.
Zootopia went a step further to make the different versions . In the US, Canada, France, the news anchor is moose. In Brazil, it’s a jaguar. Australia and New Zealand get a koala; while Chinese audiences see a giant panda.
What can I say…. I’m a huge Disney fan. Maybe not like my friend over at Reviewing All 54 Disney Animated Films. And More!, the Disney cartoons have been a big part of my life. So, in a sense, the Disney animated features are a big deal to me.
Whether young or old, Zootopia’s story carries a powerful and thematic commentary message that’s highly valued and relative (especially in today’s world). As Judy Hopps says in the movie “Life’s a little bit messy. We all make mistakes. No matter what type of animal you are, change starts with you.” And I can’t agree more with that statement.
( )41. In the film, the animal hosting turns into a ___________ if you live in Sydney.
A. koala B. giant panda C. moose D. jaguar
( )42.Who is one of the directors of the film?
A. Jared Bush B. Rich Moore C. Idris Elba D. Ginnifer Goodwin
( )43.You can probably spot this article in a(n) ___________.
A. newspaper B. magazine C. movie net D. Imax poster
( )44.Which of the following is TRUE based on the passage?
A. Zootopia is a romance story about a koala and a giant panda.
B. The film will be released on 4 March 2016 in English and French.
C. You can go to the nearby theater for different 3D versions of Zootopia.
D. Zootopia made different versions which are called “Easter egg-packed”.
( )45.Where can we infer from the User Review?
A. She is a huge Disney fan.
B. She has reviewed 54 Disney animated films.
C. She agrees with the message that the film carries.
D. She does not agree with what Judy Hopps says.

March 20th is World Water Day every year. According to a report from the United Nations, more than half of the world's major rivers have serious water loss and are polluted.
The Yellow River, the world's fifth longest river, watered some of the oldest farms on earth. (46) Its source（源头）on Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is drying up. In most of the past 35 years, it didn't reach the sea.
The Nile in Egypt, running 6, 650 km, is the longest river in the world. (47) Now it is down to 2 billion m³ or so. Australia's Murray River reaches the sea only every other year. One fifth of America's Rio Grande has no water, either.
Mostly it’s damming（筑坝）and global warming that make rivers dry. (49) Now about 45, 000 of them lie across the world’s rivers. They hold back around 15% of the world's fresh water from running to the sea.
(50) Warmer weather takes water away. The glacier（冰川）are becoming smaller. The source of the Yellow River is drying up because of it. Global warming has had certain effects on water sources. Droughts happening around the world make people pay more attention to this fact.
A. Dams provide fields with water and make power.
B. How does it happen?
C. It used to carry 32 billion m³ of water a year.
D. But now it has a serious problem.
